@ProfNoodlearms @sagemath Lol. Yeah, the solve command seems to look for analytical solutions. I'm probably being completely naïve as someone who doesn't do much numerical mathematics.

@ProfNoodlearms @sagemath The idea is that it's very easy to let SageMath do separation of variables for you for a logistic population model. This gives you 3 constants, so with 3 population samples you should be able to find values for these.

@ProfNoodlearms @sagemath I *think*. My textbook uses some very clever algebra to bypass numerical methods due to the special case it studies, but I want a sledgehammer.
