Real talk: I'm worried about my no-excuse-needed extension policy this semester, not because it isn't "right" or "fair", or because it will cause me more work, but because I wonder if I have students who will fail due to an unforced choice to leave too much work too late.

(The students who turn things in early or on time actually cause me more work, since I grade and return feedback and provide opportunities for revision and reassessment. Y'know, like what happens in research.)
