@KamerynJW I agree with the sentiment, but my lukewarm concern is that copyleft provisions might add a chilling effect on adoption that outweighs the harm caused by a proprietary fork popping up.Permalink On twitter.com

@KamerynJW I suspect (but don't know for sure) that you're more likely to get adoption if you can say it's "just free" rather than "it's free, but only for non-commercial use", since that's cognitive overload on the adopter ("wait my students are paying to take this course can I use this?")On twitter.com
