@ProfKinyon To be honest, I'm not sure! I created this puzzle idea for my last puzzle book as basically "mini Sudoku with addition" so using 1-9 came natural. In trying the concept out I realized there was often fun logic that took advantage of 0 never being a blank, so I never looked back.
