@virgil_pierce Oh it almost certainly ain't in polynomial time. The puzzle was scored based on how close you got. I don't think anyone got a perfect score (but I recall a friend after the event found a solution). I think all artifacts of this are on a FB post somewhere; I wish I had blogged it.
