@JaredHolshouser I disagree, but probably not in principle. I post targeted videos for my students in order to provide explicit guidelines on my expectations for their solutions on assessments like quizzes. But the real learning happens in the classroom when I get them working together at boards.

@JaredHolshouser And these days I strongly believe in asynchronous direct instruction as a *stopgap* solution for missed synchronous active learning, or for review afterwards.

@JaredHolshouser As you mention this could be done once with high production value, but there's also something to be said for the personal connection between instructor/student an instructor video can provide.

@JaredHolshouser I wonder if I put up the bat signal, the @USA_ILC can provide some research on the particular additional impact an instructor-recorded video might have on learning vs a professionally made video.
