@CmonMattTHINK I might even claim that "identify the vertex of a quadratic" is a vestigial precal learning outcome. Once you have calculus it's easier to take the derivative to find a critical point than completing the square. Who needs to find a parabola vertex that won't take calculus?Permalink On twitter.com
